ModSpace's MedBuild Team Completes New Veterans Community-based Outpatient Clinic for Southeast Georgia Health SystemState-of-the-art facilities include a 7,000-square-foot medical office with patient examining rooms, waiting areas, office, and lab space. BERWYN, PA.November 18, 2008-MedBuild, the specialized healthcare division of Modular Space Corporation (ModSpace®), has completed construction of a new Outpatient Clinic for Southeast Georgia Health System in St. Mary's, Ga., to meet the needs of the expanding veterans community in the region. The 7,000-square-foot community-based outpatient clinic offers veterans high quality care close to home with 10 patient examining rooms, a waiting area, office space, and laboratory space. "Southeast Georgia desperately needed a new facility that could properly care for the region's expanding veteran population," says Jim Gabriel, Director of Business Development for MedBuild. "And they needed it fast. We had less than 90 days from planning to implementation before this center had to be up and running. Without a minute or a dollar to spare, we are honored to have delivered a cost-effective modular solution to our nation's war heroes." Before adding the clinic, the Department of Veterans' Affairs needed to increase their medical services and capabilities for the more than 25,000 veterans currently living in Southeast Georgia. It was critical that this project be complete before the start of the new fiscal year on October 1. In conjunction with the Southeast Georgia Health System, the VA called on MedBuild to construct the new medical facility. MedBuild has worked with the VA on many projects - including the VA St. John Outpatient Clinic recently completely outside of New Orleans - and understands the VA's desire for quality clinics in a rapid turn around time. MedBuild worked closely with the Southeast Georgia Health System to create a building plan suitable to their standards and those of the VA. The final 7,000-square-foot medical facility, situated next to the Camden Campus of the Southeast Georgia Health System, was completed in 82 days, and opened their doors to the community on September 23. The new medical office includes a patient examining room, waiting area, office space, and lab space. Additionally the facilities boast cost saving vinyl flooring, upgraded door hardware and sound insulation, and a hard panel exterior to match the design of the existing Camden Campus facility, as requested by the Department of Veteran Affairs.
