CMC
Fresno needed a standalone dialysis facility for up to
five years while a new addition was added to the nearby
hospital site. It was imperative that patients receive
immediate quality and efficient care during this period..
Based on MedBuild’s knowledge of the dialysis market and our demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, on-time, on-budget processes, we were chosen to design and build CMC Fresno’s facility.
“We believed that the MedBuild team far outdistanced their competition in knowledge, experience and expertise." Said Julie A. Cleeland VP, Ambulatory Care and Dialysis for the Community Medical Center. "Their previous dialysis projects were the testimony that we needed to help us make our initial selection.”
The new clinic has 23 dialysis stations, open treatment areas, private stations and an isolated station for infection control. The design features separate equipment rooms, nurse stations, administrative and business offices with special dialysis chairs, and custom cabinetry throughout. The exterior is Hardipanel™ concrete panels finished with stucco-flex surface intended to create a more permanent appearance. The building has roof-mounted HVAC which was completed on site and meets all California code requirements, and a complete water filtration system. MedBuild provided complete project management and a site superintendent throughout the entire design and construction process.
Once construction of the permanent hospital addition is complete, the modular clinic will be utilized by another department in the hospital’s network, increasing the financial efficiency of the project.
