Extreme Mobile Office Space for Old Port Homes

As seen on ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"

Each episode of ABC TV's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition features a home that is totally rebuilt for a deserving family - in record time.

ModSpace partnered with Old Port Homes of Rhode Island to help make a family's dream of a new home come true. Old Port Homes asked ModSpace to provide a mobile project management office during the week- long build.

The show (first airing May 4, 2008) profiles the Silvia family of Warwick, RI, who faced many challenges with the health of their children. Over the last six years the Silva's, in addition to raising their two biological children, have fostered thirteen children and adopted three of those children. All of the children have special needs. The Silva's were dealt a huge blow when they recently discovered their home contained dangerous levels of lead and their foster children would be removed from their home if they did not remedy the lead problem.

On a Monday morning in February, the Silva Family heard Ty Pennington, the host of ABC's Extreme Home Makeover calling their name GOOD MORNING Silva FAMILY! Within a day Old Port Homes was ready to begin construction of their new home. And not long after, ModSpace was there to deliver and install the modular unit on behalf of its customer, Old Port Homes.

ModSpace was honored to be a part of the Old Port Homes project team for the Silvia's family home. Our mobile office provided a much needed "home base" for the team during the construction which took place in the middle of February - Rhode Island's coldest part of winter.
